Hello dear friends,
Today I feel guided to speak about something that has brought me much peace over the years — the gentle art of living in the present moment.
So many of us spend our days living in the past or worrying about the future. We carry old regrets. We hold onto hurts and grudges. Or we spend precious energy imagining what might go wrong tomorrow.
If you find yourself doing this, please hear these words with kindness and love:
You are seen.
You are known.
You are loved — completely and unconditionally.
About the Past…
Do not burden yourself with heavy regret for things you did or didn’t do. You made those choices with the knowledge, maturity, and understanding you had at that time. You were doing the best you could with what you knew then. The Higher Source does not judge you for your past. He only invites you to release it with compassion for yourself.
And if you are holding a grudge against someone… know this:
Holding onto resentment hurts you far more than it hurts the other person. Most often, they have continued with their life. You are the one still carrying the weight in your heart. When you choose to forgive and let go, you are not saying what happened was okay — you are simply freeing yourself to live in peace again.
About the Future…
It is wise to make some plans for tomorrow, but if there is nothing you can do about it in this present moment, dwelling on it only steals your peace. The mind loves to create stories about what might happen, but most of those stories never come to pass.
The beautiful truth is this:
The present moment is all we ever truly have.
The Higher Source already has a plan for your life that is far more beautiful, wise, and loving than anything your mind can imagine.
When you trust Him and stay present,
He quietly directs your steps.
He opens doors at the right time.
He brings the right people.
He provides what is needed.
You do not have to figure everything out.
You only need to stay open, listen to that still small voice within, and take the next step that is shown to you.
When we release the past with forgiveness, trust the future to the Higher Source, and rest fully in the present moment, something wonderful happens — we begin to experience a deep and lasting peace that does not depend on outer circumstances.
Right here, right now, in this moment…
You are safe.
You are held.
You are deeply loved.
May we all learn to live more fully in the sacred present, trusting that the Higher Source is gently guiding our path.
You Are Seen, You Are Known, You Are Loved.
With love and gratitude,
Tom
