Hello Friends,Sometimes the most beautiful ways the Higher Source speaks to us are the ones we almost forget.
Not because they weren’t important, but because they were so gentle and smooth that life simply flowed… and the mind moved on without making a big story out of it.
I’d like to share two simple memories that only became clear to me much later.
The first happened when I was getting ready to leave the Army. My shovel needed to be painted for inspection, but I couldn’t find the right paint anywhere on base. Instead of worrying or forcing the situation, I got in my car and drove off base. I didn’t have a plan — I just followed a quiet inner sense. A short time later I was guided straight to a store that had exactly the paint I needed.
Nothing dramatic. Just a simple need met through gentle direction.
Another time, I was driving through a part of town I didn’t know at all. I had been fasting for reasons I didn’t fully understand. As I drove, I felt a soft nudge to stop at a McDonald’s. I went in, ate something simple, and got back on the road.
When I left, I had no map and no GPS. I simply followed the quiet directions that appeared in my mind — “turn here… go this way…” After just a few turns, everything suddenly became familiar again. I knew exactly where I was and found my way with ease.
Looking back now, both of these moments carry the same soft signature:
The Higher Source was guiding me in practical, everyday ways — and because everything worked out smoothly, my mind almost forgot them.
There was no crisis.
There was no big vision or angelic visitation.
Just a quiet inner voice saying, “Stop here… turn here… keep going.”And life responded with grace.
This is what I’ve come to see:
The times we listen to the inner voice are often the ones we remember the least — precisely because there is no struggle, no resistance, and no painful lesson attached. Everything simply unfolds naturally.
The times we ignore the nudge? Those stand out loudly because they create friction and consequences.
Yet the Higher Source never stops offering Its gentle guidance. It keeps whispering through small impulses, quiet knowings, and soft pulls — whether we notice or not.
Today I invite you to look back with soft eyes.
Can you recall any “forgotten” moments when you followed a quiet inner sense and things simply worked out?
A time you turned left instead of right… stopped somewhere you hadn’t planned… or felt nudged to do something small that later proved helpful?
Those quiet successes are just as real as the louder lessons.
They are the Higher Source moving through your life with love — not to impress you, but to gently support you.
You don’t need dramatic signs or visitations to be guided.
Sometimes the most profound guidance comes dressed in ordinary moments.
So let us practice noticing.
Let us begin to remember and give thanks for the quiet times we listened… even when we didn’t realize we were listening.
The inner voice is always there — patient, kind, and lovingly present in both the moments we notice and the ones we almost forget.
You are Seen.
You are Known.
You are Loved.
With love,
Tom
